Our crops include roots (garlic, onions, shallots, leeks, carrots, beets, radishes, potatoes); greens (arugula, spinach, lettuce, chard, kale, collards, asian greens, cabbage); squash (winter squash, cooking pumpkins, summer squash, zucchini); snap & shelling peas; tomatoes; tomatillos; ground cherries; peppers; cucumbers; eggplant; broccoli; cauliflowerbeans, as well as a few herbs (basil, chives, dill and mint).

CSA share pick up hours are as follows:

Tuesdays from 3-7pm at Juniper Jungle Farm starting June 14th, 2016.

Wednesdays from 3-7pm at the Bend Farmer’s Market in Downtown Bend, on Brooks Street starting June 16th, 2016.

Saturdays from 10am-2pm at the Northwest Crossing Farmers Market on NW Crossing Drive, starting June 18th, 2016.

The fall harvest bag pick up day will be on November 19th and will include storage crops such as potatoes, onions, garlic, winter squash and cooking pumpkins just in time for the holidays and winter food preparations. This is a one day only pickup!

Share Sizes

All shares are set at a certain value for one week’s worth of vegetables. Prices are compared to current grocery/farmers market prices. On any given week our goal is to have a mixture of 7 to 10 crops that are available for harvest in a weekly box. CSA members are always given preference over market for specialty crops.  Please note that we only have 2 share sizes available this year – we have eliminated the small share for a variety of reasons. If a regular or large share seems like too much produce, we encourage you to find someone to share with.

Town Share (formerly the Regular Share)

The Town Share will provide you with a variety of produce to eat abundantly throughout the CSA season, with a few goods left to get you through to the cold of winter.

Our Town Share is a great option if you have enough time to prepare fresh meals weekly, but not enough time to put up preserves. We want the busy people of Central Oregon to have their plates full of local food while it is abundant.

  • $450/season
  • $25.00/week (6 to 8 available greens & vegetables)
  • Generally feeds 2 to 4 people who are on a mixed diet or 1 to 2 vegetarians

Purchase the whole season in advance ($450 EB price + $13.50 PP fee):

Or pay half up front and half on receipt of your first share ($225 half share + $6.42 PP fee):

Homestead Share (formerly the Large Share)

The Homestead CSA Share will provide you with enough produce to eat well during the season, while having enough goods left over to preserve, store and freeze for the lean winter months. Think storage potatoes and squash; cabbage for probiotic and immune boosting sauerkraut; kale to be frozen for a taste of summer in January; soups made and then canned or frozen to be stored in your larder/pantry.

Our Homestead Share is the beginning of our goal to provide a full diet CSA to the people of Central Oregon, as Essex Farm does in New York. We want to support people on their path to food sovereignty and full health through food options from as close to home as possible.

  • $720/season
  • $40.00/week (7 to 10 available greens & vegetables in larger quantities)
  • Feeds 4 to 6 people who are on a mixed diet or 2 to 4 vegetarians

Purchase the whole season in advance ($720 EB price + $21.60 PP fee):

Or pay half up front and half on receipt of your first share ($360 half share + $10.80 PP fee):

There are a few methods of payment available to you: cash, check, PayPal, and Oregon Trail Card.

Pay with cash: You will need to hand deliver your cash payment and completed application to the farm at 22135 Erickson Rd., Bend OR 97701. Please be sure to confirm that someone will be present at the farm to receive your paperwork and payment.

Pay with a check: Please mail your completed application and check to Juniper Jungle Farm 22135 Erickson Rd. Bend OR 97701

Pay with PayPal: Because we are a small farm working with no subsidies to bring you the freshest heirloom produce on the High Plateau, every dollar counts. Before you choose to pay with PayPal, will you consider paying with cash or check? We’d love to see our communities’ dollars stay in our community. Please note that we offer a 5% discount if you pay in full by April 1. After our early bird discount expires, we offer a ‘pay half up front, half on delivery’ option. If you do choose to pay via PayPal, we ask that you pay the fees associated with that transaction. You will need to send your completed application to Juniper Jungle Farm 22135 Erickson Rd. Bend OR 97701

Pay with EBT/Oregon Trail Card: Juniper Jungle Farm takes EBT/Oregon Trail Card for share payment. With this option comes a little more faith in you as the consumer, and a little more legwork. We will require you to put down a $50 deposit to hold your share, and to prove your commitment to our farm – it will be credited towards your share. The ‘pay half up front, half on receipt’ option is definitely available to you as well, though we require cash, check or PayPal for the first half. You MUST pick up your first box of each month at the Wednesday Bend Farmers Market so we can run your EBT/Oregon Trail Card using the Bend Farmers Market terminal. You may choose to pick up your remaining boxes of each month at the location of your choice. EBT Agreement form: JJF-CSA-EBT-2016
